47 years have passed since the ASAN Foundation began welfare operations and put into action the late Chairman Chung Ju-yung's long-held belief in helping the most needy in our society.

Over the last 47 years, the Foundation has focused on bringing hope to those who needed it most. It has provided modern medicine to rural people in pain and sickness due to the lack of hospitals nearby, care for the aged and those on the fringe of society, and scholarships to youth who have been denied access to education for financial reasons.

Moreover, scholar dedicated to the betterment of human society have been supported with research funds. However, we still have a long way to go. As long as there remain people who endure poverty and social prejudice, we must go on.

The Foundation will double our effort to bring out an era in which all people equally enjoy high quality social benefits and each lead a life of human dignity.
